Whirlwind weekend
General January 5th, 2003
People digging around the site that found the About page would have known that my birthday was Friday. I had planned on taking work off early, but something came up and I was there until after 6. Chuck and I headed to Jillians for drinks, met up with Eric and Josh, had dinner and watched the Fiesta Bowl from there. (I really didn’t think OSU was going to win, but I’m glad they did. Go Big Ten!) With the double-overtimes, it was almost 11:30 by the time we got home, and I pretty much just crashed.
Saturday, after plans to see Nemesis in the theater failed (I’m not used to looking up movie times in the AM,) we did some slacking, some more football watching, ran a few errands. Pregamed the Illinois/Oakland game at Legends, went to the game (with Tedd and Josh and some of his friends,) and went back home to trigger some backups.
Then back to Jillians for my birthday celebration…. they rented out the front room and we had pool and drinks and a really good time. I didn’t get real drunk on NYE, but I got toasty last night.
Slept in today, had some Le Peep, then started working around the house. Cleaned, fought with the computer again, networked the TiVo, back to DCL for more tapes, more computer struggles (problems getting the new CDR online,) and finally watched ALIAS.
All in all, a good weekend.
