Have you ever celebrated any Chanukah traditions? I know you've explored your Jewish heritage at times.

I wore socks with menorahs on them to my family's Christmas party. However, I have it on good authority that said menorahs are no good for Chanukah, as they only have 7 candles, and not 9.

Christmas was funky this year; I wasn't really feelin' it. The family's still adjusting to the different things going on and such. My family usually celebrates Christmas eve with one side (typically Mom's; we used to do both sides together but it got unmanageable); then we do Christmas Day with the other side.

We eat ham on Christmas Eve, because my dad's work has been giving employees a Christmas ham for years. There is always cake, because it's my sister's birthday.

Christmas morning is the time for opening gifts. This year was pretty unexciting; we primarily exchanged gift cards. Bridget (my sister) and I barely got the tree decorated on the 23rd.

Oh, and usually I am the one to drag my parents to church for Christmas, but I didn't even go this year. So heathens one and all, I guess!
