Beating SEMO

I watched the Illini beat Southeast Missouri (Mizura) State last night on TV. I agree with the articles I’ve read that Assembly Hall has bad lighting for TV. It looks okay in the stadium, but it’s very dark on TV. Just more to improve, I guess, if they can find the money.
I don’t really care for the nickname, but I agree with the sentiment that “When things go cold, give it to the microwave.” Of course, they’re talking about Jamar Smith, our true freshmen miracle man. War-ren Car-ter (clapclapclap) also had a good night, and we rolled over SEMO. But there’s one important point I didn’t see on TV….
What was the halftime entertainment? Did I miss the dogs? Or rifles? Or tumblers?

And Jamar just continues to impress. 5-5 Wednesday night, 4-4 from behind the arc.

Kenny mentioned that the AssHall is really dark on TV, and I guess I hadn’t been paying attention, but it was very diffficult to see the crowd as anything but an orange-red blur. This leads me to believe that I think things would have been better in either HD, or LD (Live Definition!) rather than my cruddy SD. I’ll be at the M*ch*g*n game next weekend, and I hope… [...]
