Librarian occupational hazard

This post, while disgusting and embarassing, should make you laugh and realize you are not alone.

Ever notice the musty smell of a library makes you have to poop? I witnessed this last night while spending longer than I would have liked in the reference library… A place filled with very old books that, honestly, I don’t think people read that often. I was fine befor I walked in the door, but after no longer than an hour, I had to go. I knew this wasn’t the first time I’d had or seen that reaction in people, so I figured I would google for ‘library smell makes me poop’ and sure enough, there were hits. From PoopReport, for example.

I wonder if we’ll talk about this phenomonea in GSLIS.

And that’s the last of the short posts for today. I’m off to the lake house for a last summer weekend escape. Maybe I’ll write a longer blog post when I’m there — it’s been very busy lately, and I’ve got things to share (besides poop.) Have a good one!

Netflix mobile

As seen from Hacking Netflix, I could really see myself using this. Might be time to get a new cell phone. Rumors are Sprint will be selling the Motorola RAZR in Q4, so maybe I’ll go that route. Or maybe I’ll look for a StarTAC on eBay, I hear those are pretty good.
