Dave, Thanks for posting the link to Mairix. I’ve gone on several quests to find a tool like this and turned up empty. I’ve already indexed my Maildir and been searching away! The only thing cooler I’ve envisioned was an IMAP-server implementation or even an IMAP proxy where you could execute searches via the web, or even in the interface by creating folders w/ search terms or something cool like that.
Part of the elegance of mairix is its simplicity. Assuming you’ve got your mail in a format it supports (maildir), it adds an easy, powerful command line search that you interface as another mail folder. It’s way better than IMAP search tools I’ve found.
About A blog. You know, a weblog. A place for the owner to write. Like singing at the top of your lungs when you’re the only one in the car — except, you’re reading this.
